Tata Riding With Fiat for One Lakh Car
Tata Motors and its joint-venture partner Fiat are going to collaborate for the Rs. 1 Lakh car (or more appropriately the small car project since it would cost much more than the hyped 1 lakh mark).
Tata has pointed out that design and styling has been frozen and vendors fixed thereby limiting the scope for Fiat's involvement in the project. If this is the case then what would Fiat bring to the table? Maybe Fiat would enable Tata to target overseas markets via its network and sell the car under its brand name.
