Audi's flagship sports car, the R8 which has won the love and acclaim of many worldwide has landed on Indian shores. IndiBlog had the privilege to meet with the Independent dealer who has imported the R8 from the U.K (for sale) and take a few pics of the gorgeous car. First some facts to give you a perspective on this German work of art. The R8 has a 4.2 litre 420 bhp mid-mounted V8 engine which shoots it from 0-100 kmph in a scant 4.6 seconds and all the way up to a max speed of over 300 kmph (dont try that in India unless you own a race track). In flesh the R8 looks stunning with it's sharp LED lights and low stance like a panther about to pounce.

The V8 engine is showcased through a glass window behind the rear seats and gives the car the quite essential sports car look. The model imported into India (shown in the pictures) has a R Tronic gearbox which can be shifted via the console stick or the wheel-mounted paddles. The power is put down on the road via all four wheels using Audi's Quattro system.

Audi's been selling rather well recently with many celebs and businessmen buying in to the charm of the four ring German manufacturer. If your wallet is loaded and you are on the prowl for an exclusive sports car which no one yet owns in India, this is a perfect opportunity.
