The Maruti-Suzuki Ritz has been delayed but it will launch this April-May for sure. The car has been approved by the newly set-up 'International Centre of Automotive Technology (ICAT) at Manesar in Haryana. ICAT has granted a whole vehicle test approval to the Ritz which is like a clearance the company required to roll out the vehicle in the Indian market. The Ritz was put through the brand new power-train laboratory, engine dynamometers, emission laboratory, a fatigue laboratory passive safety laboratory as well as vehicle test tracks at ICAT Manesar.

The Maruti-Suzuki Ritz is likely to be priced between Rs. 4.25-5.5 lakh in the same bracket as the Swift but will offer more space along with the brilliant new 1.2 litre KB series engine which is likely to be very frugal. The 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine from the Swift will also do duty in the new Ritz.
