If you went through the newspaper in the morning chances are that you glanced across a full page ad from Tata Motors showing a glimpse of the dashboard of a new car named Manza. This is the new Tata Indigo which is based on the Indica Vista. Its been a long time coming for this new sedan which has been caught on numerous occassions during testing.
The company has given the Manza a seamless integrated boot unlike the oddly shaped one on the previous generation Indigo. Also, interiors have been made more upmarket with quite a few design changes from the Indica Vista. The most prominent being the location of the instrument cluster which is directly ahead of the driver as opposed to a central location in the Indica Vista.
The Tata Manza will be powered by a petrol and a diesel engine, both sourced from Fiat. The 1.4 litre petrol mill will produce a healthy 95PS of power while the 1.3 litre multi-jet diesel unit will deliver 90PS. The car will be priced from Rs. 5.5 lakh up to Rs. 7.5 lakh for the range topping diesel variant.
